Class Overview and Schedule

Upon applying for authority start up companies are inundated with contacts from all segments of the industry. NASTC is proud to take a new approach; an approach that focuses on improving the odds of survival and success as a company grows.

The New Entrant Survival Training curriculum is designed to help prepare small, start-up trucking companies devise and develop an effective business plan to start and successfully operate their company and address common concerns before they become problems.

This program is designed to go beyond simple FMCSA compliance issues and delve into all facets of the difficult challenges facing a start-up company. The one-day course consists of the following curriculum:

Saturday Bonus Classes

We offer bonus-training on Saturday that will break down into two sessions. These courses are totally optional and are included with your NEST Class registration. Saturday’s schedule begins with Drug & Alcohol Training which includes Supervisory Training as required by the DOT regulations and 5-year STT and Collector Training that allows you to comply on site with the drug and alcohol testing requirements. Lunch will be provided as we begin the MYSTC Software session, an in-depth review of our management application designed specifically for small trucking companies.
